Money in The Bank in House Review

Money in the Bank in House Review

By Justin Blakeman

It was my pleasure to attend what was a great pay-per-view last night at Money in the Bank. From the second I arrived in Columbus, I could tell the Crowd was on fire! I was walking from the parking structure to the area and could hear the chorus of John Cena sucks chants off in the distance. The energy out side the area was great, there was a huge line and every one was cheering and WOOOOOing their way into the building. Once in side the excitement continued as R-Truth and King Barrett kicked of the show.

I have never heard R-Truth get that kind of reaction before, he was super over last night for some reason. The Columbus crowd just ate up everything he did. As the live show began all the wrestlers came out to the ramp and stood for the 10 bell salute to Dusty Rhodes. This was a very moving scene, you could tell some of the wrestlers and divas were fighting back tears. My seats were right in front of the table where they do the pre-show taping and you could tell Renee Young and Cory Graves were struggling with their emotions. After the 10 bell the crowd came to life with a thunderous "Thank you Dusty" chant. We all cheered and clapped along to Dusty's music which made for a really memorable moment.

The money in the bank match kicked off the show and while it wasn't the best Money in the Bank match it was entertaining. Neville and Kofi really shinned in this match, I was really hopping Kofi would walk away with the Contract. Could you imagine the annoying promos New Day could have had with that contract in their hands? It would have been awesome but WWE went with Sheamus as the Money in the Bank winner. For what ever reason it seems like Sheamus is taking a lot of heat for winning the match. I don't understand why everyone hates him but I am perfectly fine with Sheamus getting the win.

The best moment of the night other than the Dusty tribute had to be the match between John Cena and Kevin Owens. I watched their match at Elimination Chamber and I really had no idea how they would top it. That match was great but this match was flat out amazing! It was so special to be in the crowd live to see this awesome match. The energy in the building was off the charts from start to finish. You could tell the crowd was hanging on every move and pin fall. In the beginning of the match the crowd was very against John, by the end everyone was standing on their feet cheering both men! This was the only time I can remember being in an arena when literally everyone stood up and cheered at the end of a match. It didn't matter who won everyone realized they just saw something special.

The show finished off with the ladder match between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The match started of kind of slow but as time went on it business began to pick up. The two men brought it and delivered a fantastic match. I think this match was a little overshadowed by the Cena vs. Owens match, had this ladder match been on any other card it would have really stood out as a show stealer. That being said the finish to the match was a little odd. For some reason the big screen in the arena went out during this match which made it really hard to see the finish. I don't know if that is why I didn't like it or if it was just a bad finish. I am going to have to watch it over on the WWE Network and figure it out. I like Seth Rollins going over and continuing as Champion. I think his character has a lot of life left in it.

Over all I really enjoyed the Money in the Bank pay-per-view! It was well worth the 3 hour drive to see it live. I really enjoyed the Cena vs. Owens match and I liked the main event too. The only match on the card I didn't like was the match between Ryback and Big Show. Honestly I did not have high hopes for that match anyway. On a scale of one to ten I would give money in the bank and eight. I hope you guys enjoyed the show as much as I did.

Until Next Time Wrestling Fans!
