NXT Take Over Unstoppable Review

Match 1) Tyler Breeze vs Finn Balor:

• This Take Over really has a big match feel they have a new set with a light up ramp! Then on top of that you have the added elements to each guys entrance which has that wrestle mania entrance feel. Breeze had a cool intro with the addition of the ladies but Balor's entrance was just amazing!! 

• The crowd was really into the match chanting lots of different stuff and they gave both men love. You know your doing something right when the crowd chants "this is awesome" just for your entrance.  This was a great back and forth match early on with both men getting some good offense in. They really slowed it down in the middle with some head locks and ground moves. After the ground game Tyler Breeze really started to pour it on and even brought in some heel trickery as he removed the turn buckle padding. The guys worked around the exposed turn buckle for a while with Finn Balor finally getting pushed into it. After hitting the exposed metal Finn walked right into a Beauty Kick for a very close 2 count. The battle then went out side where Finn climbed up on the entrance ramp and he dove down onto Breeze. Balor brought Breeze back down to the ring where he hit his finisher and got the win! This was a really good match, it wasn't the best NXT match I have seen but it was still great. These guys used every part of the ring and the set and they had a couple good near falls. I like Finn going over here I could see him having a great Feud with either Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn. 

Winner: Finn Balor

Match 2) Dana Brooke & Emma vs Bayley and Charlotte: 

• I really like Bayley she is one of my favorite wrestlers in NXT. I really cant wait for her to get a shot at the title I think she will be a great women's champion. I like the early team work between Bayley and Charlotte. Bayley doing the Flair chop was awesome. After a few minuets of Bayley making them look silly the heels finally gained control and took over the match. After a good beat down Bayley finally got the hot tag and Charlotte came in and did work! She got the crowd fired up and she even hit the old figure 4. Bayley came in and took out Brooke giving Charlotte the chance to hit her finisher for the win. The ladies finished the match off with a Flair Strut. 

• Not a bad match for the ladies it had a good pace and was exciting all the way through. 

Winner: Charlotte and Bayley 

Match 3) Rhyno vs Baron Corbin: 

• This should be a decent match between two big guys. I have to say I think Baron Corbin goes over and take the push from beating a big name like Rhyno. 

• This match was a classic big guy match. There wasn't a lot of flare and sparkle but there was a lot of punching, kicking and power moves. These guys threw each other all over the ring and they traded punches and kicks through out the match. Corbin looked really strong in most of the match as he just beat down Rhyno. At one point he looked unstoppable in his attack. Ryhno made a brief comeback but he was quickly over come and Corbin got the hard fought win. I think this win will do a lot for his character and he will benefit from it. On the other side this loss does nothing to Rhyno he is still a monster and can play a nice role in NXT. 

Winner: Baron Corbin 

 Match 4)  Big Cass and Enzo vs Blake and Murphy for the NXT Tag Team Championship:

• Big Cass's voice cracked so bad during the SAWFT chant it was hilarious. That aside they continue to have a fun entrance and I really like what they are doing. I think with some in ring improvement these guy will be stars for a while. 

• I really like the fact that Blake and Murphy are acting scared of Big Cass it is really making him come off as a monster. Then the way he no sold the chops from Murphy was just awesome it made him look tough a nails. I like the fact that the champs focused their attacks on the smaller Enzo and kept the big guy out of the match. This was a decent match but the ending was terrible. Why did Big Cass leave to go take care of Carmella? Win the titles first then go take care of your lady. And why did Enzo just stand on the top rope and watch the whole thing? He literally stood there until Bliss came over and knocked him down. I like the Bliss heel turn and the faces chasing the title is aways fun but they could have done this a little differently. 

Winner: Blake and Murphy 

Match 5)  Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch for the NXT Women's Title: 

• WOW this match was just amazing. It was so well worked and it honestly left me wanting nothing. Both ladies really brought it and they gave it everything they had. The crowd said it best when they chanted "this is wrestling".  These two put on a show stealing match. There was great back and forth action in this one and they kept a good pace with ups and downs at the perfect times. There was even a few near falls that had me on the edge of my seat. Both ladies had some crowd support but Sasha was over big time. Well worked match and it was one of the best women's matches I have seen in a long time. What ever they are doing with the ladies down in NXT needs to make its way to the main roster because these girl deliver every time. And its not just these two its all of them! I like Sasha going over so this feud can continue, I want more matches like that one! 

• On a side not I really like Becky's new look it really adds to her character and makes her stand out. I think the new look coupled with her in ring skill will help her shoot to the top. 

Winner: Sasha Banks 

Match 6) Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens for the NXT Title:

Kevin Owens is feuding with so many people that his feuds are all merging together and that is not a bad thing. This guy is so good he is battling nearly every big name in wrestling right now. Here is as short list Sami Zayn, John Cena, Finn Balor, and a mystery person I will reveal later. That is a who's who of wresting! This match was a great match I loved Sami taking the fight to Owens. All the work these guys did out side the ring really aded a great story to the match. This was a stark difference from their last match where Sami took a beating the whole match. Both men got some work in and Sami really held his own. Lots of near falls for Zayn in the middle of the match that got the crowd fired up. Zayn really took it to Owens with all the suplexes but Owens power bomb on the ring apron was nasty.  I loved the beat down Sami took at the end it made Owens look like an unstoppable monster and who else better to stop the beat down that Samoa Joe! While I don't like another Zayn match ending due to injury this was a nice exception! The aggression show by Owens lead to the debut of the one guy that can match him pound for pound.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Final Review: What a show!!! And what a few days of wrestling! It started off with a great Payback pay-per-view which lead to a good Raw and now we have an unbelievable NXT Take Over! This show was great from start to finish I really can't think of a match I didn't like. The women's title match was the best match of the night in my opinion and it totally stole the show. The main event was a good match but the real story out of that match was the debut of Samoa Joe. This means that NXT now has Owens, Balor, Hitomi, Zayn and Joe all on one roster! That is an absolutely stacked roster and I didn't even mention the Ladies. This was another great show from the NXT guys and girls and it is beginning to become a normal thing. NXT always delivers and leaves me speechless!
