Elimination Chamber Predictions

Good evening wrestling fans and I hope you are having a wonderful Elimination Chamber’s eve! I for one took some time out to enjoy the wonder weather here in Kentucky. That being said I am more than ready for Elimination Chamber tomorrow! I think this could be one of the most interesting pay-per-views of the year.

I don’t know if it’s the whole surprise around the announcement of Elimination Chamber or maybe it’s the line up for the show but I am very excited to watch this pay-per-view.  WWE did a wonderful job setting up the card for this show. It has a little bit of everything and there are some new guys getting a crack at major titles or big stars, which always makes for an exciting show. So why waste anymore time rambling on, let’s dive into the matches and pick some winners!

Match 1: Tag Team Champion’s New Day defend their titles against Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, Prime Time Players, The Ascension, Lucha Dragons and Los Matadors inside the Elimination Chamber.

  • JB’s Prediction: This match really intrigues me because I’m not entirely sure how it is going to work. I am not sure if there will be teams in the chamber pods or if there will be one team member in the ring with one in the pod. Either way I am really excited to see how this match plays out. It is a totally new concept for the Elimination Chamber; I think it will bring a new life to the Chamber. Just take a look at the teams involved in this match; you know this is going to be a steal the show kind of match! All of these guys can bring it in the ring and they have been having some really good matches on Raw lately.  As for predictions I am pretty sure New Day is going to walk away from this match holding those titles. But I could honestly see a team like Lucha Dragon, Prime Time Player, or Cesaro and Kidd walking away with the belts too.  I feel very confident in saying that Los Matadors and The Ascension have no chance in this match.  All and all I have high hopes for this match and I think it will live up to the hype!

Winner: New Day

Match 2: Neville vs Bo Dallas:

  • JB’s Prediction: I don’t know if you all watch NXT but these guys had a great feud down there in Florida! The battled it out for the NXT Championship in a number of matches, all of which were very entertaining. I have not doubt that this match will continue that trend. This match is really a tale of two superstars. One WWE has pushed through the roof and the other has been bottom feeding since his debut on the main roster. My hope here is that both men can walk away from this match with some momentum. Bo Dallas is one of my favorite characters in WWE right now. I just can’t help but laugh at everything he does. He is a great whinny heel. Neville on the other hand is a jaw dropping talent. The things he can do in the ring are just amazing. I predict these guys will put on a decent match and everyone will get a chance to see what they did back in NXT on the big stage.  As much as it pains me to go against Bo, I think Neville walks away with the victory in this match.
Winner: Neville

Match 3: Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, R-Truth, Ryback and Rusev (or another wrestler) battle for the Intercontinental Championship in side the Elimination Chamber.

  • JB’s Prediction: This match is the more traditional Elimination Chamber match. I think we can expect to see a lot of the normal Elimination Chamber spots in this match. I say that not in a negative way but in a more matter of fact way. Since we have not seen and Elimination Chamber match in while these spots will seem cool and fresh. I am not going to like this is not one of the matches I have circled on my list of matches I’m excited for. But I think this match will be entertaining nonetheless. With names like Barrett and Ziggler you can’t go wrong! Since Rusev was hurt on Tuesday’s Smack down taping we have the added excitement of a mystery opponent. I have heard rumors that Bray Wyatt will be stepping in for Rusev, which I think, will be a great addition to the match. Ultimately I see Sheamus walking away with the IC title. If Sheamus does walk away with the title I hope WWE presents him as a strong IC Champion. I don’t want to see him losing every week on Raw! That goes for whoever wins but especially for the heels. I would really like to see some prestige come back to the IC Title. I miss the day when it was a big draw in WWE.

Winner: Sheamus

Match 4: Nikki Bella vs Paige and Naomi for the Divas Championship.

JB’s Prediction: Normally I’m not a fan of Divas matches on the main roster but if we were ever going to get a good match with the current roster this would be the match.  Nikki Bella has really improved in the ring over the last few months. She was never bad but she was definitely not on my list for notable female wrestlers. She still isn’t but I have been impressed by her effort since winning the title a few months ago. Paige on the other hand is certainly in my list of notable female wrestlers. I think she is the best women’s wrestler on WWE’s roster right now. I really hope they let her do her thing after her return. Her work in NXT was great and I really enjoyed her run as the NXT Women’s Champion. Naomi is also a fantastic talent and I have really enjoyed her heel run. She plays the B%*$# character well and honestly her new music makes me hater her with a passion so it works! These women will put on a great match with some back and forth action and I see Paige and Naomi having a few good spots through out the match. My hope is that Naomi wins the title setting off a long feud between her and Paige.  I would rather Paige win but the hero chasing the villain is always better than the other way around.

Winner: Naomi

Match 5: John Cena vs Kevin Owens

  • JB’s Prediction: Now this is the match I am most looking forward too. I have honestly been marking out since Kevin Owens music hit a few weeks ago on Raw. It is not often that WWE debuts a guy and puts him against the number one guy. I can think of only a few times its happened, one was Cena vs. Angle. The other was Chris Jericho vs. the Rock. Owens has been killing it in every appearance on Raw and he has done a great job making me feel like he has a chance to beat Cena. My hope is that he does walk away with the victory on Sunday. Can you imagine how great that would be! He would be able to walk around for the next few months letting everyone know he beat the great John Cena in his first match. That’s the stuff legends are made of in the wrestling world. But there is still a part of me who cannot see WWE going that route. I just can’t see John taking that loss. I know John will do everything he can to make Owens look strong in defeat. But man taking that loss would not be nearly as cool as winning over the great Cena. Even if my gut says its Cena going over in this one I am going with my heart and saying OWENS WINS!!!! And the Kevin Owens era beings!

Winner: Fight Owens Fight… Kevin Owens

Match 6: Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship.

JB’s Prediction: This is a match I will never get tired of seeing! These guys had such a great feud when The Shield broke up. I felt like the Rollins and Ambrose feud had a lot of miles left on it when WWE cut it short. So I’m glad to see them revisit this feud. These two guys will put on a great match and there is not doubt it could be a show stealer if presented right. I can honestly see Dean Ambrose walking away with the title in this match. How cool would it be to turn on Raw Monday night and see him walking to the ring with the title in tow? The best thing about Dean Ambrose is the unpredictability of his character; no one knows what the heck he will do next and that could make a great championship run. On the other hand I could easily see Rollins walking away with the title as well. In fact I think that is exactly what will happen. The only question I have is how will it happen? Obviously we know Kane and J&J will be involved some how but I think there may be a wild card setting in the back waiting to strike. That wild card is none other than Roman Reigns! I can see it now Dean Ambrose is cornered by The Authority and Roman’s music hits. He walks down to the ring and looks like he is coming to Deans aid when BAM, he hits Dean with a super man punch giving Seth the win. This would set off a huge heel turn and could add some much needed life to The Authority! WWE has been dropping a lot of hints lately about the relationship between Dean and Roman. Dean has referred to Roman as his brother way to many times for that to not mean something. This exact situation may not happen at all but I am hoping this is what we get in Sundays main event.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Well guys there are my picks for Elimination Chamber! Thanks for reading my predictions and I hope you enjoy the show!

"Until next time Wrestling Fans!"
